Class Learning

Class sessions move at an accelerated pace, reviewing items from e-learning but allowing for in-depth discussion & understanding directly from an experienced SCUBA instructor.

Classroom sessions with an instructor there for your needs only
Bring questions, this is an interactive discussion.

Practical Learning

In a controlled heated pool, theory is put in to practice as you learn the necessary skills to complete your class.

Pool sessions with an instructor devoted to only you
Bring a swimsuit, you will get wet on this ride.

This is the same cost as SCUBA Diver Class, can I just buy this?

No, this is an upgrade cost to create a private class just for you or your party. Everyone in your party, including you, needs to purchase the actual class as well.

Does every member of our party have to pay the upgrade?

No, only a single upgrade is needed to create a Bespoke Class experience. In public classes, costs for pool access, paying our staff, tanks, even a comfy bed for them to sleep in during check out dives is split between course fees for a minimum number of students. The upgrade charge offsets those costs allowing for a private tailored experience.

Does this mean it can be done at any time of day?

Of course not, it means it can be scheduled as needed finding a match between your needs & the instructors availability with the class taking as long as needed. If you are expecting a your class be taught at 3am, good luck talking our instructor in to it.

Do I have to buy all the gear?

No. We will supply you, included in the course fee, with a buoyancy compensation device, a regulator, a tank & any needed weight for all classes, like SCUBA Diver Class, where use of gear is included. For continuing education courses where gear is not included, you will need to rent anything you need.

You WILL NEED to what is referred to as "personal gear" including SCUBA rated mask, fins, boots & a snorkel. Economical solutions are available for purchase.

Can I skip the classroom portion & just learn online?

Of course you can, somewhere else. There are dive shops available that utilize only the e-learning for academic education. We do not believe that online learning ONLY properly prepares you to dive safely. The value of one on one discussions with our instructors & benefiting from their real life experience is incalculable. Does it cost more to do it this way? Yes. Should that matter? Nope, better learning is always a better value.

Can I use the personal gear I bought from Walmart?

No. Just no. Common sporting good gear is not acceptable for SCUBA diving. We are going to teach you how to survive underwater and those toys need to be of a certain quality. Trying to kick in SCUBA gear while wearing a sporting good fin doesn't work, they just bend from the stress. Don't believe us? Try it, but let us get the camera ready first.

Medical Requirements

We are not doctors, we teach SCUBA

As we cannot cannot answer questions on specific medical conditions or questions, the RSTC has a universal medical form you must complete prior to any in-water training. Please answer it honestly.

Read the instructions on the form:

If you check yes to an item on page 1, go to the direct box on page 2.
If you check yes to an item on page 1 with an *asterisks* or you check yes to an item in a box you were directed to on page 2, a physician must complete & sign page 3 prior to any in-water training.
