Rescue Diver Class
Be ready to respond
The Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. You will learn skills such as how to perform self-rescue, buddy rescues, recognize and calm panicked divers, administer proper first aid to divers suffering dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes.

How we teach
E-Learning
Utilizing NAUI's e-learning system, informative videos, section quizzes & detailed information gives you information on how to properly manage diving incidents & provide assistance to those in need.
- Completed at your own pace, designed by NAUI
- Bring some popcorn, its not required but popcorn is good
Classroom Discussion
A single day of class moving at an accelerated pace, reviewing items from e-learning but allowing for in-depth discussion & understanding directly from an experienced SCUBA instructor.

- Bring questions, this is an interactive discussion.
Practical Application
Hands on practice of some of the skills you will perform during your check out dives like:
- properly recovering an incapacitated diver from depth
- removing gear from yourself & a victim while simultaneously delivering rescue breaths
- extraction techniques that we all pray you never need to use
Check Out Dives
The best class you will ever take, while the "requirements" only require a couple dives & a few skills, OUR REQUIREMENTS are much higher. We teach this over two days at the quarry & things go wrong.
It is up to you to figure it out when:
- divers panic at the surface
- run out of air underwater
- get lost
- become entangled
- fall
- suffer injuries
- & way more
