To enter lockout mode, hold the button down for 3 seconds. The light will flash 3 times to signify lockout mode. It cannot be turned on until unlocked. To exit lockout mode, hold the button down for 3 seconds. The light will flash 2 times to signify exiting lockout mode. The light will operate as normal.
